Follow the steps for Declaration Practice

Try a more deliberate round

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Your goal

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Take the next action only when the current step is clear. Look at the complete hand before deciding.

Making your moves

  1. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown.
  2. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence.
  3. Study the complete hand before answering. Choose Valid or Not valid.
  4. Read the explanation after submitting. Each question accepts one submitted answer.
  5. Continue to the tenth question for a session score; start another session for a new selection.

Controls

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. Check the relevant controls before continuing. Begin with the objective.

See the idea in action

Example hand: 9♦ J♥ Q♠ 8♥ 10♦ 8♦ 9♦ 4♠ 8♣ 6♥ 9♠ J♣ 9♥. Wild rank 6. No full grouping meets the two-sequence and pure-sequence requirement. The penalty for this hand is 50 points. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Watch out for this

A clear plan starts with the current position. Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Helpful answers for players

What is the aim?

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Begin with the objective. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

How do I use the controls?

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Which format is available?

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account. Keep the active rule in mind. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

What should I check before a move?

Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Keep the active rule in mind. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Can you give an example?

One pure run, another joker-assisted run and two complete sets can cover a valid 13-card hand. A clear plan starts with the current position. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

How many questions are available?

This exercise contains 500 stored questions. A session selects ten without repeating within that session. Keep the active rule in mind. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Can I change a submitted answer?

No. Read the explanation, then continue. Start another session to practise again. Use the rule sheet as a reference. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Are the answers checked against the rules?

All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Will I always see new cards?

No. The bank is finite, so another session may include a previously played question. Work at your own pace. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

What does the score measure?

The score is the number of correct answers in this ten-question session. It is not a skill certificate or a prediction of match results. Use the rule sheet as a reference. Use another round to revisit a decision.
